Pilots avoid a collision on the runway

Disaster nearly struck at an airport in Geneva, Switzerland on Friday, July 24, 2015.  On a busy runway, an Aer Lingus airplane en route to Dublin was increasing speed to begin takeoff and a British Airways plane was preparing to land imminently when an air traffic controller noticed that a Cessna aircraft was mistakenly on the same runway.  It is unclear if the Cessna took a wrong turn or was on the runway due to an air traffic controller's instruction.  The authorities are investigating the incident.
